Modern day Dada poets, collagists, performers and artists are creating disruptive, controversial and thrilling works that continue the spirit of the avant garde art movement sprung from the horror of World War I. ORIGINAL DRAWING by MARY BEACH (1989) will be available at Silent Auction on Wednesday May 7th at The Gallery @LPR (7-9:30pm). Three Rooms Press is excited and honored to present this rare opportunity to own an original work of art from one of the most accomplished women artists of the latter-part of the 20th Century. The bidding will start at $500.

Three Rooms Press is a fierce New York-based independent publisher inspired by dada, punk and passion. Founded in 1993, it serves as a leading independent U.S. publisher of cut-the-edge creative, with a focus on literary fiction, provocative nonfiction, mind-blowing memoir, stimulating drama and visionary art. Three Rooms Press publishes Maintenant, an annual journal of contemporary dada writing and art, and produces a variety of literary and cultural events in global cultural capitals including readings, plays, workshops and concerts.

Jane Ormerod

Jane Ormerod is the author of the full-length poetry collections, Welcome to the Museum of Cattle (Three Rooms Press, 2012), Recreational Vehicles on Fire (Three Rooms Press, 2009), the chapbook 11 Films (Modern Metrics/EXOT Books, 2008), and the spoken word CD Nashville Invades Manhattan.

Joel Allegretti

Joel Allegretti is the author of four collections of poetry: Europa/ Nippon/ New York: Poems/ Not-Poems (Poets Wear Prada, 2012) Thrum (Poets Wear Prada, 2010); Father Silicon (The Poet’s Press, 2006), selected by The Kansas City Star as one of 100 Noteworthy Books of 2006, a list that included novels by Cormac McCarthy and Thomas Pynchon; and The Plague Psalms (The Poet’s Press, 2000).

George Wallace

George Wallace is a New York-based poet who travels internationally to perform his work. He is author of 28 chapbooks of poetry, editor of Poetrybay.com, and associate editor of great weather for MEDIA. George teaches writing at Pace University in Manhattan and is writer-in-residence at the Walt Whitman Birthplace.

Steve Dalachinsky

Steve Dalachinsky’s books include A Superintendent’s Eyes (Unbearable Books/Autonomedia, 2013); Trustfund (Unlikely Stories Press 2012); Reaching Into the Unknown, with photographer Jacques Bisceglia (RougeArt Paris 2009); and The Final Nite (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2006), winner of the PEN Oakland Josephine Miles National Book Award.
