Between 1992 & 1995 Anton Fier and Lori Carson collaborated on three recordings:

This is How it Feels and Pure by The Golden Palominos and Lori’s solo release, Where it Goes. Music from all three of these recordings will be featured in her set with a heavy focus on the “Where it Goes” material, viewed by many as an undiscovered masterpiece.

Lori Carson has not performed live in over five years and has never appeared on stage with The Golden Palominos before, making this a most special occasion.

Lori Carson is a critically acclaimed singer/songwriter whose albums include: Shelter, Where it Goes and Everything I Touch Runs Wild. She has contributed to the soundtracks of Bernardo Bertolucci’s Stealing Beauty, Kathryn Bigelow’s Strange Days, Keith Gordon’s Waking the Dead, and others. She has recently finished her first novel, The Original 1982, due to be published in 2013. For more info please visit:

Robert Kidney is the founder of the legendary 15-60-75, The Numbers Band in Kent, Ohio, in 1970. A composer and lyricist, he has contributed six songs to the Golden Palominos repertoire. Robert was also part of The Golden Palominos reunion shows in 2010. More information can be found at www.numbersband.com..

Though she’s resided in Brooklyn, New York almost half her life, Lianne Smith occasionally reveals her roots from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist, in April 2012, she released her first solo CD Two Sides Of A River, produced by Anton Fier. “It’s the best rock record of 2012 so far by a country mile.” (New York Music Daily). She writes songs about standing in the middle of the road and wondering which way to go, about how others cheat us and how we cheat ourselves, about free-wheeling, bicycle riding, look-ma-no-hands exhilaration, and how it feels to say goodbye to summer. http://liannesmith.bandcamp.com/

Anton Fier is a legendary New York drummer/producer best known as the creator and destroyer of The Golden Palominos.

The full lineup of The Golden Palominos will also include:
Karen Mantler on keyboards and perhaps harmonica
Jack Kidney on blues harp
Aaron Lee Tasjan on guitars
Tony Scherr on guitars and maybe some bass
Chis Morrissey on both upright and electric basses
Tony Maimone on electric bass
Anton Fier on drums

Ida started in Brooklyn in 1991 when founding members Daniel Littleton and Elizabeth Mitchell started writing songs together and recording on a 4-track cassette machine. They soon became a four piece band with Daniel’s brother Michael “Miggy” Littleton on drums (White Magic, Blood On The Wall) and Karla Schickele (founder of Willie Mae Rock n Roll Camp for Girls) on bass, piano and vocals. Since 2004 they have been joined by violinist and vocalist Jean Cook (Jon Langford, Mekons, Beauty Pill). They have released seven albums, three EPs, and their songs have appeared on numerous compilations, seven inch singles and have been featured on both the radio and television versions of “This American Life”. They have toured in North America, Europe, and Asia and have collaborated, live and in the studio, with artists like Levon Helm, Michael Hurley, Low, Bernie Worrell, His Name Is Alive, Tara Jane ONeil and many others. 1999’s “Will You Find Me” was highly acclaimed throughout the independent music scene, and was acknowledged by both The New York Times and Spin Magazine in their end of the year “Best Unheard” music lists. Both of Ida’s most recent albums received critical acclaim, 2008’s “Lovers Prayers” (Polyvinyl Records), and their 2009 collaboration with “outsider” folk music legend Michael Hurley, “Ida Con Snock” (Gnomon Song). For the last 8 years Ida has been based in the Catskill Mountains, where they built a studio, ON-Me Sound, and are currently beginning work on a new album.
