The PATH Fund (Performing Artists That Help)
The PATH Fund gives artists in many fields an avenue to share their unique talents while helping raise money for charities that benefit arts and entertainment organizations.
As a nonprofit organization, The PATH Fund began with one main purpose—To produce the annual Rockers on Broadway fundraiser and then efficiently distribute the proceeds to organizations benefitting members of the arts and entertainment communities. Since the inception of Rockers in 1993, they have raised $300,000 for performing arts charities.
Since Rockers on Broadway’s performers came from the New York theater community, Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS was a natural fit—an acclaimed organization helping members of the theater community in crisis.
However, gradually the vision of The PATH Fund’s board expanded to include the goal of creating opportunities for the next generation of talented actors, singers, musicians, and other artists, all of whom were suffering from cutbacks to arts funding in schools. To that end, we’ve made recipients of The Broadway Dreams Foundation and The ASCAP Foundation’s Children Will Listen program.
Broadway Dreams gives young artists from disenfranchised areas the chance to attend a performing arts camp to study with some of Broadway’s most gifted singers, dancers and musicians, while the Children Will Listen program is a significant part of The ASCAP Foundation’s dedication to nurturing the music talent of tomorrow.
