For one precious day, we can pretend like love is a single-edged sword that will slice into you only in the most appetizing way. Come tinkle your buttons and twist your bellows with a loved one for a sensual, elaborate Valentine night.

Main Squeeze Orchestra

MAIN SQUEEZE ORCHESTRA is NYC’s all-female squeezebox fantasy brought to life by the “Hugh Hefner of the accordion world”, Walter Kuehr. The band defies nerdy stereotypes of accordion music with a diverse genre-bending repertoire of cool music, and has attracted a dedicated following of fans. In a tribute to our bandleader Walter Kuehr, Main Squeeze Orchestra will be playing a selection of his favorite songs, including a debut performance ‎of a new arrangement that he had in mind for the band.

Thee Shambels

‘Thee Shambels’ new release ‘Lost Gun’ is a jaunty little slice of folk-country. Neville Elder’s tale of a fragile soul rescued by a lover’s kindness builds slowly to a rockin’ climax. It’s a superb acoustic tune avored with Melissa Elledge‘s accor- dion, Sarah Mischner’s ethereal backing vocals and the distinctive stripped down percussion and upright bass of JJ Murphy and Scott Kitchen.

Neville wails and croons a funny and touching vocal that is bold and gentle at the same time.

Folk rock at it’s best! Suggesting contemporaries like The Decemberists and The Mekons, Thee Shambels’ gallows humor has been praised both sides of the Atlantic:

“They have this kooky but incredible sound of klezmer, folk, and Americana all rolled into one”.
– Folk & Roll (US)
