Since 2008, Lit Crawl NYC has brought literature to the streets with its annual literary pub crawls, a mixture of reading events, talks, and workshops at bars and other venues in the Lower East Side and Brooklyn. The Village Voice wrote: “To anyone who has ever snuck a flask into the library, this is your night.” The New York Times calls Lit Crawl NYC “A Heady Cocktail of Books and Booze.” Crawl curators have included Paris Review, Tin House, NPR, PEN American, VICE, and Electric Literature. The 3rd Annual Brooklyn Crawl is Saturday May 17th in Cobble Hill.
