Each month, we bring together authors, bloggers, comedians, and performers to share fiction and nonfiction stories involving a theme object that could be found in a lost and found box. We’ve featured burlesque stars, magicians, Moth Grand Slam winners, actors, someone’s mom, and a ukulele player.

Tim O’Mara is the author of the top-selling mystery novels Sacrifice Fly and Crooked Numbers. His third mystery novel Dead Red, will be released by St. Martin’s/Minotaur Books in early 2015. He is also the host and co-producer of a bi-weekly reading series of poetry and prose in New York’s East Village with We Three Productions. He is a proud member of Mystery Writers of America, Crime Writers of America, International Thriller Writers, and several teacher unions. He has taught math and special education in the New York City public schools since 1987.

Christina Fitzpatrick is the author of the novel What’s the Girl Worth? and the short story collection Where We Lived. Her work has also appeared in Rattle, The Sun Magazine, and The Hairpin. She is the recipient of an NEA fellowship in prose. Currently she is at work on novel that she describes as, “a mix of Sex and the City, Twilight, and The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders.

Thomas Pryor’s work appeared in The New York Times, other periodicals and three anthologies. His blog: “Yorkville: Stoops to Nuts,” is listed in the Times’ Blog Roll. He appeared on PBS’s series: “Baseball: A New York Love Story,” NBC’s “New York Nonstop,” and “This American Life.” Thomas curates a monthly storytelling show, “City Stories: Stoops to Nuts,” at Cornelia Street Café. His book of photographs, “River to River ~ New York Scenes From a Bicycle,” was released in 2012 (YBK) – NBC TV, New York Press/Our Town Downtown and NY 1 TV praised the book and his photo exhibit at the Cafe. His new book, “I Hate the Dallas Cowboys ~ tales of a scrappy New York boyhood,” will be published in October 2014.

Michael Maiello is a New York based columnist, performer, fiction author and playwright. He’s written for The Daily, Reuters, Esquire, and McSweeney’s. He is the author of Shuts & Failures, Rejected New Yorker Pieces (Also Rejected by McSweeney’s!). He worked for ten years at Forbes Media, writing and editing for both Forbes Magazine and Forbes.com. He is also the author of the 2004 book Buy The Rumor, Sell The Fact: 85 Wall Street Maxims and What They Really Mean. He has performed stand up comedy at The Laugh Factory, The Comic Strip and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival and Mama D’s Arts Bordello in New York.

Gabriel Levinson is the founding editor and publisher of ANTIBOOKCLUB, whose forthcoming books include three volumes of new work by Terry Southern and the English-language premiere of Amir Tag Elsir’s French Perfume.
