Each month’s show is based on a typical object – hats, wallets, cigarettes. Things that end up in a lost and found box. These things tell stories, whether lost memories or made-up tales. They reflect our lives, where we come from, and where we’re going.
 
The show is a creative meeting of the minds: we’ve featured authors, bloggers, actors, cabaret singers, magicians, comedians, travel writers, psychedelic gurus, TED talk speakers, Moth storytellers, burlesque performers, and even a ukulele player.

Rachel Kramer Bussel is a New Jersey-based writer. She’s edited over 50 erotica anthologies, including Hungry for More, The Big Book of Orgasms, Cheeky Spanking Stories and Best Bondage Erotica 2014. Nelson Lugo is a Magician, Sideshow Artist, and Batman enthusiast. He was interviewed by TimeOut NY as a New York Entertainer to Watch and co-hosts a podcast called “The EPIC PIEcast” for NerdyShow.com. His storytelling credits include being a guest speaker for The Sunday Assembly NYC, a guest singer for the BTK Band – was an invited guest at Adam Wade’s Whatever Happened to the Nerds as well as for the Five Boro Story Project – and was featured on the Story Collider podcast. He is currently performing a solo show called “Gathering The Magic” at The Tank Theater NYC.

Alan Feuer has been a staff writer at the New York Times since 1999. He has written about prisons, the Mafia, baseball, steakhouse waiters, pigeon racers, firefighters, bartenders, crooked politicians, hamburgers in the Bronx and single mothers. Currently he writes feature stories about New York City for the Sunday Metropolitan section. Alan is the author of “Over There,” an account of his time covering the war in Iraq for the Times, of “Still New York,” a book with the documentary filmmaker Ric Burns about the New York paintings of the artist Rick Brozen.

Sarah Maslin Nir has been a staff reporter for The New York Times since August 2011. She is currently working on a year-long investigation, and previously covered Queens for the paper’s Metro section. From 2010 until the end of 2011, Ms. Nir was The Times’ “Nocturnalist” columnist, covering New York City’s nightlife. Prior to joining the Times, Ms. Nir lived in London, where she was a freelancer for several national and international publications. A born and raised Manhattanite, Ms. Nir graduated from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, and from Columbia University, where she studied politics and philosophy. She loves horses.

Nathaniel Bates has been telling stories around the city for the last four years. He’s a two time Moth Slam winner and has been featured on the Risk! podcast, along with staging his one man show “Look Mommy It’s a Monster” last fall. By day he works on TV Shows and Films (“30 Rock”, “Boardwalk Empire”) as a set electrician. He lives with his wife Katherine and his very troubled pug Tojo in Harlem.

Daniel is a writer of surreal fiction, essays, and film reviews. His work has appeared in the New York Press, Cinespect, the L Magazine, and Rio Grande Review. He has performed at such venues as The Slipper Room, Cornelia Street Cafe, KGB Bar, The Bell House, and the Bowery Poetry Club.
