The Asian Burlesque Spectacular

Sukki Singapora

Although only a year in the public eye, UK based Sukki Singapora has become one of the most talked-about newcomers to the Northern UK Burlesque Scene, drawing from her Singaporean roots to create signature “Bollyesque” routines (a mix of popular Bollywood gyrations and tongue in cheek Burlesque bump and grind).

Like many before her, Sukki Singapora was initially drawn to burlesque by the poise and glamour of modern stars such as Kalani Kokonuts and Dita Von Teese, however, never one to be a follower of fashion, Sukki is making a statement in the burlesque world in a way that’s very much her own. She is the World’s first Professional Burlesque Performer to hail from the “tiny sunny island” of Singapore, capturing the imagination and heart of the nation [ChwennyLand, November 2011].

Her performances are as lavish and elaborate as her costumes, making this sultry and visually stunning performer not one to be missed.

Calamity Chang

Calamity Chang is one of the busiest burlesque performers and producers in NYC with two longstanding weekly shows and two monthly shows. Time Out NY calls her the “tattooed vixen of the downtown striptease scene” and Broadway World calls her “willowy elegance.” Calamity has performed for Brooke Shields and the cast of The Addams Family, Corey Miller of LA Ink, Moby’s metal band DiamondSnake. She has also appeared in several reality TV shows such as Oddities and My Big Redneck Vacation. Besides seeing Calamity on stage covered with rhinestones and lush feathers stripteasing to vintage Asian music and classics, you can also see her in the breakout NC-17 2011 film Shame. This Asian Sexsation is sweepin’ the nation!

Miss Catwings

Former KTUH deejay and host of the live on-air radio show Monday Night Live (University of Hawaii 2005-2009), Miss Catwings was just a voice on the radio until she was seduced out into the open by the world of burlesque in 2006. Ever since, she has been performing her sultry and seductive or comical and kitsch show-stopping acts to audiences all across the Aloha State! With a walk you can recognize from a mile away, you’ll regret missing the chance to watch this feisty feline bump and grind her way into your mind. Whether she’s dressed in a gold cheongsam, a PVC kimono, a larger-than-life Tiki Mug, a plush Octopussy outfit or draped in nothing more than sequins, silk and sass, Miss Catwings is always sure to please with the sensual Art of Tease!

This Hawaii born honey is a Cat of All Trades: Burlesque Performer & Instructor, Director, Producer, Mad Hatter, Underground Promoter, Model and Media Maven. Catwings is a Senior Member, Soloist, Director, Producer and Burlesque Instructor with Hawaii’s Premiere Cabaret Revue, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, is the Associate Director for the Hallowbaloo Music & Arts Festival and Mardi Gras Carnaval Festivals in Honolulu, is the PR and Online Media Coordinator for non-profit, The ARTS at Marks Garage, has her own line of “Dangerously Cute” handmade accessories calledCatwings Couture, and currently produces Kaleidoscope Hawaii, a weekly live local music showcase at thirtyninehotel in the Chinatown Arts District.

Although she is of Japanese/Okinawan ancestry, this local girl embraces her “mixed plate” heritage of growing up on Oahu (also known as “The Gathering Place”) surrounded by rich cultures from all around the world and considers herself “Lucky To Live Hawaii!”

Minx Arcana

Minx Arcana is “The Dark Flame of Desire,” a sultry NYC burlesque vixen whose signature style infuses sumptuous vintage glamour with hints of noir, the occult, and a rock ‘n’ roll spirit.

A classically-trained dancer and alum of the New York School of Burlesque (2010), Minx has graced stages in North America and Europe, with notable performances at The Prague Fringe Festival (2016), The New York Burlesque Festival (2017, 2015 & 2013), The Miss Coney Island Pageant (2015), The Toronto Burlesque Festival (2015), The Show Me Burlesque & Vaudeville Festival (2015), and The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival (2014). Crowned “Miss Twin Peaks 2015” for her homage to Twin Peaks’ neo-noir femme fatale, Josie Packard, she is a core cast member of the David Lynch/Showtime-approved The Pink Room: David Lynch Burlesque. Versed in both classic and neo-burlesque, Minx thrives on bewitching her audiences with her lavish & original costuming and her uniquely mysterious allure. Her on-screen appearances include Showtime’s Twin Peaks: The Phenomenon, PlayMe Burlesque, Getting Naked: A Burlesque Story, The Cruel Tale of the Medicine Man, and ABC News’ Nightline.

An active player in the New York City burlesque circuit, Minx has worked her magic at such renowned performance venues as Duane Park, The Highline Ballroom, Le Poisson Rouge, and Coney Island USA as well as trailblazing cocktail bars like Employees Only, Macao Trading Co., and Apotheke.

Fancy Chance

Hilarious, glamorous, and exuberantly
irreverent, the diminutive Fancy Chance is the undisputed comic spectacle of the UK burlesque/variety/vaudeville circuit and the best tassel twirler east of the Atlantic. Hailing from a background of cabaret, theater and performance art, in 2001 she was brought into “nouveau burlesque” by the infamous Miss Indigo Blue, founding member of BurlyQ: A Queer Cabaret. Fancy’s goal is to perform acts that dazzle and delight with comic characters and satire to the max whether goose stepping as Kim Jong Il or stripping down to a tasseling sensation!
