The Book Report Reading

Once upon a time you were in third grade and you had to give book reports and it was awesome. The Book Report promises to deliver exactly what it promises: reports on books by the people who’ve read them. Join Leigh Stein and Sasha Fletcher and assorted literate guests for an evening that will remind you of 3rd grade in the best possible way.

Andrew Durbin

Andrew Durbin co-edits Wonder, a publisher of art books, ephemera, pamphlets, and glossies. He is the author of Reveler (Argos Books, forthcoming 2012). His writings have appeared in the Brooklyn Rail, Conjunctions, Washington Square, West Wind Review, and elsewhere. He is an associate editor of Conjunctions and lives in New York City.

Carter Edwards

B.C. Edwards is a producer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and attended the graduate writing program at The New School in New York. The winner of the 2011 Hudson Prize for Fiction, he is the author of the collected stories “The Aversive Clause” (fall 2012) as well as two collections of poetry “To Mend Small Children,” (february 2012) and “From the Standard Cyclopedia of Recipes” (fall 2013). He was raised in Newburyport, Massachusetts and lives in Brooklyn.

Krystal Languell

Krystal Languell is a member of the Belladonna* Collaborative and edits the journal Bone Bouquet. Her work has appeared in esque, La Fovea, DIAGRAM and elsewhere, and her first book, Call the Catastrophists, was published by BlazeVox in 2011. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute and a 2013 Emerge Surface Be fellow at The Poetry Project.

Minna Proctor

Minna Proctor is a critic and essayist. She is the Editor of The Literary Review and teaches in the Creative Writing Program at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

John Reed
