Marivaldo Dos Santos

From Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Dos Santos has taken his eclectic talent all over the world, traveling throughout Europe, the U.S, Latin America and Asia. As a composer, musician, percussionist and producer, Dos Santos has contributed to some of the most recognizable artists, shows, music, festivals and movie productions of the past decade, such as the legendary Sting, The Fugges, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Pras, Joshua Bell, Steve Coleman, MD MC’S, Beetroot, Daniela Mercury, Vinicius Cantuaria, Margareth Menezes, Ogans and the Rock in Rio Madrid Festival. His own music projects like electronic recycle, Brazil Underground and Quables bring a vibrant mix of live and electronic new sounds and performances. Film and TV credits: the Emmy®-winning Brazilian soap opera India: A Love Story/Caminho das Indias, the movie Get Him to the Greek, the IMAX film Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey and Sesame Street. He is proud to be part of such an amazing production as STOMP.

He is now working on his new Project with his band, its a combination of Afro Brazilian music, Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop mixed with electronics. Adding to it is the Hip Hop Brazilian vocals, the Bahian percussion sounds, the drum set, bass, guitar and keys.
Not forgetting the trumpet, sax and trombone that creates this Jazz, Funk Hip Hop sound.

Toca Ale Ale

Live percussion from JustinJustin aka “Toca” and Ale Ale Drummers
Ale-Ale is a drumming/dance group that I created in 1999. Born out of New York Central Park’s Drum Circle, I met two amazing women drummers. Promoters started to ask us to play in night venues. A few months later we were on a big stage performing for a large audience.

The Ale-Ale Foundation is not just drummers but also Brazilian Samba Dancers & Capoeiristas. This is a conscious movement of artistic loving folks who support expression of all mediums.

Geko Jones (DJ)

Renowned by top DJ’s and producers of the digital cumbia scene in Latin America and European bass-pundits alike, Geko Jones is one of the select few DJ’s pushing forward the Latin agenda in a world wide tropical bass scene. A founding member of both the New York Tropical and Que Bajo?! party franchises in New York, and a partner and co-owner of the Dutty Artz record label with producer Matt Shadetek and DJ /Rupture, his mixes span the tropical hemispheres and collage together hours of globally sonic dance- floor mayhem. His DJ sets incorporate heavy afro-latin percussion mashed up against the hard synth lines and global breaks.
