Mauro Pagani & La Notte della Taranta Mauro Pagani & La Notte della Taranta

The Ensemble “La Notte della Taranta” is a group of extraordinary musicians from Salento (in the Apulia region of Italy) that formed more than 10 years ago in order to revisit and promote the cultural and musical background represented by the ‘Pizzica’ and everything that surrounds it.

Mauro Pagani has been a steady presence at the Notte Della Taranta as its “Maestro Concertatore” from 2007 to 2009. Other than being a key figure in folk music, he was also a member of PFM, the historical progressive-rock band and first Italian group to achieve success abroad in both the British and American charts. He worked side by side with first-class singer-songwriters such as Fabrizio De Andrè (as its co-author, arranger, and artistic producer, winning two ‘Album Of The Year’ awards), Ornella Vanoni, Roberto Vecchioni and Gianna Nannini.
