Charlotte Mundy (Soprano) was born and raised in Toronto and currently resides in New York City, where she has sung Morton Feldman’s Three Voices at the Resonant Bodies Festival, Feldman’s Voice, Violin and Piano with New Chamber Ballet (while simultaneously dancing a duet with ballerina Amber Neff), and performed in This Clement World at St. Ann’s Warehouse, in Howard Fishman’s A Star Has Burnt My Eye at Joe’s Pub, and with ensembles including Judd Greenstein’s band The Yehudim, the vocal octet Roomful of Teeth, Contemporaneous, Ensemble sans maître, and TAK. Her operatic credits include creating the title role in Ondine by Izzy Gliksberg, and appearances with the Luminato Festival, Music With A View Festival, Toronto Masque Theatre, and Opera York. She is one half of The Euphemisms with Rich Woodson, and has recorded vocals for the bands Berg and Westaway. Ms. Mundy holds a Masters degree in Contemporary Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Lucy Shelton. She has been praised for her “strikingly clear tones” (Oberon’s Grove) and “preternatural focus” (The New York Times).
