Cloud Cult
Cloud Cult is an experimental indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band’s founder and singer Craig Minowa has a degree in Environmental Science, and his environmental, political, and social awareness is reflected in much of Cloud Cult’s music. The band’s self-created non-profit record label, Earthology Records, uses the most environmentally friendly methods available to ensure minimum damage to the environment.
After two solo LP’s, The Shade Project (1995), and Who Killed Puck? (2000), Craig’s loss of his two-year-old son and separation from his wife, Cloud Cult emerged with They Live on the Sun in 2003, combining concepts of Minowa with performances by cellist Sarah young and drummer Dan Greenwood, who shortly became members of the band.
Craig Minowa reunited with his wife and Cloud Cult has released six full length LPs to date. Advice from the Happy Hippopotamus involved collaboration from a variety of musicians and has garnered praise from critics, even being acclaimed as “a work of insane genius”.
On April 10th 2007 they officially released their sixth LP, The Meaning of 8, although it was available for sale online in late January. Their first single from the Meaning Of 8 is titled “Take Your Medicine.” In April 2008, the band followed it with Feel Good Ghosts.
In 2009 band announced a break till 2010, though they released limited re-releases of their albums Lost Songs From the Lost Years, They Live on the Sun and Aurora Borealis (the last two as a double-disc).

Fort Wilson Riot
Founded as a quartet in 2005, Fort Wilson Riot gained instant recognition for their high energy and theatrical performances and in 2006, they were chosen as a band “Picked to Click” in a poll by the alt-weekly City Pages. Their 2007 debut record Idigaragua was an indie-rock opera performed with a full cast of actors and dancers that was written up nationally by Variety Magazine. While working on their follow-up record, Fort Wilson Riot amicably pared down to the duo of Amy & Jacob, joined, and toured with the band Ice Palace opening for Cloud Cult on there Fall Tour of 2009. Turning their house into a recording studio, Amy & Jacob worked by themselves and with trusted collaborators to write and record songs for Predator/Prey, as well as build up a body of new songs to be released in the future. With that history and a desire to make the most out of the road and the response to Predator/Prey, Fort Wilson Riot promise to bring you an unstoppable show of juggling instruments and exuberant musicianship.
