Artists
Australian Chamber Orchestra
The Washington Post nailed it last year when they said the Australian Chamber Orchestra has “the energy and vibe of a rock band with the ability of a crack classical chamber group". The Times said "Listening to the ACO is like taking a swig of a vitamin drink. Suddenly: pow! The music feels stronger, muscled, hot from the gym.”
Famous for exhilarating, high impact performances of the classical repertoire, like Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony, the ACO is also known for collaborating across artforms. At LPR, they’ll stage The Glide, combining extraordinary ocean footage with a wide range of 20th century music. Several of the ACO musicians are keen surfers, and their film Musica Surfica won Best Feature at the New York Surf Film Festival, amongst others.
