Regarded as "the most important young writers in musical theatre today” (Talkin’ Broadway), songwriting duo Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk are celebrating the launch of their debut album Our First Mistake with their first tour. Best known for their songs (Say the Word, Run Away With Me,My Party Dress)- and their award-winning musicals (The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown and Tales from the Bad Years) Kerrigan and Lowdermilk bridge the gap between pop music and musical theater, asserting that a good song is good in any genre.
You Made This Tour is the result of Kerrigan and Lowdermilk’s stunning kickstarter.com campaign, which “nearly broke the site” in the first 48 hours of fundraising (Flavorwire.com), netting a grand total of $35,000 over the course of the campaign. The tour will feature a rotating roster of artists from musical theater and pop including Jenni Barber (The Bridge Project), Kyle Beltran (In The Heights), Steven Booth (Glory Days), Matt Doyle (Spring Awakening), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked), Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening), Lauren Molina (Sweeney Todd), Laura Osnes (South Pacific), Randy Redd (Parade), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), singer-songwriter Jesse Ruben and many others to be announced.
