If you want to party like it’s 1999, the only place to majorly sweat it out is at MMP with your host DJ DEEJAY, a high-energy monthly dance party featuring the music of Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince.

Thursday night from 10pm-4am in the gallery bar you'll find Flashy & Trashy. If you are ready to not take yourself too seriously, this is your night. You can sit at the bar and order tater tots and grilled cheese, or act a fool on the dance floor. Dress is casual, though you will often find resident DJ Jay McElfresh in anything from a marching band uniform to a wizard robe. Along with jay's usual mix of 80s and 90s dance, electro, and old school hip hop, you'll find weekly guest DJ's playing everything from funk and soul 45s to classic and soft rock. Prince, Wu-tang clan, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Mary J. Blige, Steve Winwood, Otis Redding, T. Rex, New Order; they all work here.

John and Molly Knefel host a night of some of the best independent comedy in the city, with no cover, no drink minimum, and comedy that will make you pee yourself. (Thumbs up!)

Tackleberry & Mike McGill of WNYU’s A Downtown Affair have teamed up with Daniel Auster of NYC’s premier dance shop A1 Records for a new monthly get together at the Gallery Bar in Le Poisson Rouge. Equal parts disco, boogie, and house, Light Up The Night will be reaching back to the halcyon years of New York night music. From the underground sounds of private press studio sessions to the limelight of disco proper and the hand-over to Chicago, all aimed at rush hour traffic on the dance floor. Expect a program of choice selections, deep digs, and top flight DJs stopping by to share the love of a generation's prolific dance floor production. Stop by for a genuine, intimate D.I.S.C.O. experience!

Ciona Taylor Productions invites sleep deprived New Yorkers to stay up late at The Luvely Rae’s Insomnia a fun and funky booze fueled evening of random entertainment.



The last Sunday of every month, DJ Joey Nova spins the beats that will get you moving and grooving, while burlesque beauty The Luvely Rae delivers a bevy of ridiculous reasons to stay up late including: burlesque performers, sideshow artists, interviews with local celebs, sexy GoGo dancers, Connect Four. It’s New York’s only dance party that features naughty Twister with half naked strangers, and plenty of opportunities to win cash, booze, and other recession proof prizes.



The Luvely Rae takes it off every month and lends her choreography skills to Hunnie, Insomnia’s very own fly girls that are ready to set it off every show. Hunnie’s scantily clad cuties currently include: Chelle Cheri, Gitanilla, Lily Stitches and The Luvely Rae.
